Daniela Holtz

DANIELA HOLTZ * brave, strong and clever!

Happy birthday, dear Daniela! We are super happy and proud to have such a heroine as you describe in our ranks :) © Heike Steinweg

She is brave, strong and clever. Ronja the Robber’s Daughter, the heroine of my childhood. I always had the impression that the world belongs to strong, clever and fast women. That’s why, just like her, I felt at home roaming through the forest and on fast skis. There have also been a few jumps over the abyss in my life, not at Matthesburg, but on film sets, in theaters and in human encounters. What I always liked best about Ronja were her dark flashing eyes when she was angry and her fierce determination to go her own way.

We wish you a handful of ‘jumps for joy’ for your new year! And should your foot ever get stuck in the forest floor, may it be well taken care of!

Maya Henselek

MAYA HENSELEK * full of fantasy!

“Where better to be lawyers, action heroes and everyday heroes than on TV?” On her birthday, Maya reveals her TV heroes and where her inspiration to become an actress came from! © Matlock, Star Treck, Remington Steel, Henselek, Letzte Spur Berlin

One of my first tv heroes was Matlock, the unflappable serial lawyer and my first crush as a 4-year-old, was a charismatic, funny Pierce Brosnan in Remington Steele. I’ve always had a soft spot for action and crime.

I also loved Star Trek.  I would stand in the living room, remote control in hand, using it as a phaser to shoot aliens.

But my real childhood heroine was always my mother. She was brought to Germany from the Philippines in the 70s, where they urgently needed nurses, and worked in the profession for over 35 years. I often visited her at work in the hospital and saw how she helped patients.

Of course, I became an actress after all so that I could embody everything that inspires me.
